Title of the paper :
Political Allegory in William Golding’s The Lords of Flies
Abstract:
This paper explores the novel Lord of Flies in the aspect of allegory. Golding penned this novel in the latter half of the twentieth century when people became much developed and matured. It has so many acquaintances with the incidents which are happening today. This research article deals about the author’s viewpoints on mankind through the problems and violence related to the children in an innate island. Then it continues with the cultural wages due to the time of war made the readers and listeners to look for the reasons of rationalism. Then it accord with the constructive access of important symbols in the novel and it is then implemented with instructive value of self-governing within the children which make a difference in the discerned situation. Finally it deals with the difference between the power which makes a huge contrast between the civilized people and the savaged one. The findings of this paper show that the novel Lord of Flies is both historical and political allegory as it published after the Second World War. It also exemplifies the human nature which serves as a guidance for mankind both in the battle field and in our daily life.
