Title of the paper : Indian Strategic Culture: Kautilyan Influence in Contemporary Times

Abstract: This paper tries to understand the concept of strategic culture in context of India. It discusses opinions of different western and Indian scholars on the evolution and existence of Indian Strategic culture. It takes Kautilya’s Arthashastra as a major source to understand Indian Strategic culture by discussing his major ideas of rajamandala theory, saptanga theory, shadguna, war and diplomacy strategies and tries to find certain elements of it that still has relevance in contemporary times as well.
