Title of the paper :
Illusion In Albees Whos Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?
Abstract:
Edward Albee in Whos Afraid of Virginia Woolf? reveals the decline of the moral values of the American family in a modern society in which materialism wins. The play shows the deceptive appearances and moral decay of George and Martha. This work attempts to outline the American dream and how the characters embrace the illusion as an escape from real life. The opening section gives us some information about the writers life and how he is influenced by the theater of the absurd and the impact of psychological approaches on Albees way of writing. tragedy. On the surface, the play appears to be about illusion, but in fact it explores and presents the crisis of modern American values and their way of life. Thus, through the marriage bond of two couples, the play reveals the theme of illusion and social American crises.
