Ideological Conflict and Coming of Age Affinity between Patriarchy and Feminism in Harper Lees Go Set a Watchman
Abstract:
Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee is a novel that explores human relationships primarily from the perspectives of men and women. The male-female relationship in the book alternates between friendly and aggressive at times. In order to address several coming-of-age concerns among the characters of the work, the novelist establishes comparisons and contrasts between the feelings of value and convictions on both the feminist and patriarchal sides. The novelist portrays a societal setting that experiences numerous upheavals before reaching a point where men and women become independent of one another. The goal of this work is to create a literary sociological analysis of the book Go Set a Watchman.
