Dawn of Self-Consciousness in The House On Mango Street By Sandra Cisneros
Abstract:
Sandra Cisneros is a celebrated modern poet and Mexican author. Her book The House on Mango Street describes the life of a destitute Mexican child who lives in a Chicago neighbourhood. Teenage girl is the storys main character, and the author tells her stories, covering the mental voyage, growing-up experience, and exploring inner experiences alone during the stage of growth. Esperanzas self-consciousness is going to be built up and awakened in this essay as it reveals how she develops these traits in response to the environment around her. Esperanza and other young girls in our daily lives may need some assistance, and the author of this essay thinks that it will help clarify the study of this book.
