Title of the paper : Against Globalization: A Womens Voice in Sarah Joseph S Gift in Green

Abstract: Globalization has a huge impact on the lives of women in society. It causes violence against women in the name of development. Modernization a Commercialization are terms introduced to disrupt the lives of living organisms.Sarah Joseph, a feminist writer, deals with the diverse experiences of women in a male environment dominated society and their fight against environmental problems. It emphasizes the fact that womens relationship to their environment is ambivalent. There is one gift in green from her famous novels that focus on Ecofeminism. This article attempts to argue that globalization has a huge impact on womens lives. The paper is intended to present how the female characters in the novel struggle with the violence caused male characters in the name of development. It also points out that women must be empowered to protect the land in which they live.
