Title of the paper :
The Struggle for Social Equality and Identity in Indian Dalit Literature: An Analysis
Abstract:
India is one of the nations with the fastest economic growth, yet it is infamous for having a strict caste system. The history of repression, the state of the repressed, and the genesis of Dalit texts are all examined in this essay. It also looks at the development and range of Dalit literature. It is generally accepted that Ambedkarite ideas are the foundation of all Dalit literary works. The report also analyses Dalit societys harsh realities and their admirable efforts to advance socially. This body of literature presents vivid depictions of the Dalit communitys social and political concerns in Indias caste-based society. It explores the Dalits social surroundings in India as well as their relationships with both non-Dalits and Dalits. It examines the struggles of the Dalit community for freedom and equality. Strong Dalit movements, and also criticism of upper caste society in Dalit literature by philosophers and writers as well as the execution of government welfare programs, have all contributed to the current positive attitude towards equality in the Dalit communitys social life. Gender discrimination and Caste are prohibited by law. With their literature, the downtrodden are taking us on a journey from their search for identity to social equality.
