Exploring the Marginalized Voices in Fourth World Literature: A Perspective on Northeast India
Abstract:
The Fourth World Literature and Culture is a concept that represents the literary and cultural expressions of the marginalized communities worldwide. Northeast India is a region with a rich cultural and linguistic diversity, inhabited by numerous ethnic groups that are often marginalized in the dominant discourse of Indian culture. This paper aims to explore the marginalized voices in the Fourth World Literature in Northeast India, with a particular focus on the literary works produced by the writers from these communities. This study employs a qualitative research methodology, using content analysis to examine the literary works of the marginalized communities in Northeast India. This paper will analyze the themes and issues addressed by these writers in their works and how they reflect the socio-political realities of the region. This study also explores the cultural practices and traditions of these communities and how they are represented in their literary works. This paper emphasizes the importance of recognizing and promoting the voices of the marginalized communities in the Fourth World Literature, highlighting their contributions to the global literary and cultural arena. This study also underscores the potential of the Fourth World Literature to serve as a platform for promoting social justice and equality, inspiring social and political movements that address the concerns and aspirations of the marginalized communities.
