Using Gis & Remote Sensing in Irrigation Management of Shanigaram Project Karimnagar District, Telangana
Abstract:
Agricultural geography describes, classifies and explains different spatial phenomena as related to it. “Using GIS Remote sensing in Irrigation Management of Shanigaram project Karimnagar District, Telangana” is concerned with individual farms having certain characteristics of area, soil, crops etc. and complicated functional relationship based on natural environment, the agricultural economy and the rural society’. It deals with mans purposeful husbandry of the land and explains its economic, social and technological potentialities, since, these factors are highly variable in space and time it is natural that there is a spatio-temporal variation of agriculture with mans primary space-economy interaction. Since independence, the agricultural production in Telangana,Karimnagar District has increased phenomenally. Upto 2004-2021, the increase in production was due to the expansion of the cropped area. But subsequently and more particularly after 2004-2005, the increase in production was achieved through increase in productivity by the introduction of several high-yielding varieties seeds and also application fertilizer.
