Title of the paper : Interrelation of Islam and Politics

Abstract: The discussion about the interrelationship between Islam and politics is very important and has been debated for a long time. There are various views regarding the interrelation of Islam and politics. This paper will discuss more specifically the interrelationships of Islam and politics, namely the forms of interrelationships between Islam and politics, the factors of interrelationships between Islam and politics, as well as the implications of interrelationships between Islam and politics. In carrying out this research, researchers used the library research method. The results of this study found three forms of interrelation between Islam and politics, namely integralistic, secularistic, and moderate. Factors that influence the emergence of this form of interrelation include individual character factors, education, culture, environment, religious knowledge, and figures or someone who is considered a role model who is the main actor in politics. The implications of interrelationships with Islamic education include changes in Islamic education policies.
