Violence in Menage: An Over view of Emotional Traumas and Brutal Realities of Violet, Joe Trace and Dorcas in Toni Morrison’s Jazz
Abstract:
Jazz one of the most deeply narrated and analysed novel is depicted on the backdrop of Harlem of 1920s. Life sketches of various characters both male and female battle themselves through various phases of brutal realities. Love, once the soothing and supportive factor in the life of Joe and Violet gradually turns out to an obsessive, insane and violent feeling that is capable of hurting others. The clutches of manic love is juxtaposed with the theme of violence.
