Title of the paper :
The Portrait of a Lady: The Reflection of Art and Morality
Abstract:
One of the best books in American literature, The Portrait of a Lady is regarded as Henry Jamess early masterwork. The events that occur in a narrative are the essence of a story. Even though the concept appears straightforward, it can be difficult to extract the story from the text since, particularly in contemporary works, there may be several storylines entwined with the primary narrative. Reading a novel like this is challenging since it requires the reader to focus intently in order to follow the plot and characters. It is nearly hard to outline events in current literature in a sequential fashion. The times at which two interwoven tales take place in text time may even coincide, if not be specifically mentioned. Consequently, both the main tale and the embedded stories need to be removed from their original textual context in order to conduct a thorough study of the narrative.
