Title of the paper :
Feministic approach in Chitra Banerjee Divakarunis The Forest of Enchantments
Abstract:
Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni is a prominent Indian-American Diaspora writer who has devoted much of her writing to female protagonists. Feminism is a political and social theory that focuses on the role of gender in cultural practices demands equality, rights and justice for all genders. Feminisms fundamental assumption is that gender roles are socially constructed, and women are trained to fit specific roles like daughter or mother. It means that these roles are not natural but learned behaviours that women are taught to conform to fit societys expectations. This paper analyses the feminist framework to explore gender consciousness, intersections, self-fashioning, and self-realization for radical uncertainty.
