Conflict between Religion and Science in Angels and Demons by Dan Brown
Abstract:
Science and religion have always been the two sides of a coin. Drawing an analogy between the impacts of the two on human beings is a Herculean task, since both have been steering factors in human life. Though the 21st century is filled with technological advancements, people do have religious faiths too. Angels and Demons also has such confusions and conflicts between science and religion. Dan Brown has used both the tools and the central concept of the entire novel revolves around science as well as religion. The common factor that connects these two extremes is the concept of “illuminati”, which Brown finds a vital instrument in boosting up the conflicts and thrilling the readers.
