Title of the paper : Students’ Perception on English Teacher Professionalism at Sman 9 Pinrang

Abstract: This study aims to provide information about students perceptions of the professionalism of English teacher at the first grade of SMAN 9 Pinrang. This research uses descriptive quantitative method with a survey approach. The population of this study was the first grade students of SMAN 9 Pinrang which consisted of 5 classes. The sample of this study was 30 students consisting of 6 students in each class. This study uses a questionnaire as an instrument to collect data. Data were analyzed using percentage techniques to see the frequency of respondents answers. The results of this study indicate that students are more dominant in choosing the good answer with a percentage of 47% and the lowest answer is in the very poor category with a percentage of 3%. The average student answer was 79.43 with a percentage of 79%. Therefore, based on the assessment criteria used in this study, it can be concluded that the professionalism of English teacher at the first grade of SMAN 9 Pinrang is categorized as good.
