Name of Author :

Title of the paper :
From Physical to Spiritual: A Study of Life in Walker Percy’s Lancelot
Abstract:
The present study aims to deal about from physical to spiritual life in Walker Percy’s Lancelot. The novel offers the opportunities to explore the regions of reality by a shrew observation of human action without any pre-conceived notion or prejudice. As a novelist, Percy considers that it is his duty to state about human life and state it well. A man’s vision of his life may be distorted and disordered and the novelist has to bring in a ‘communion of minds’ as a solution to straighten the distorted vision. A holistic vision of life is what he aims at and not a fragmented view of reality. Therefore, the novelistic method Percy employs in his fiction is by pulling the centre of consciousness under a peculiar situation and observes how the protagonist reacts to reach the spiritual life.
