Title of the paper :
The Existence of Women Leadership in Fatimah Mernissi’s Feminism Perspective
Abstract:
Discourse on women leaders will always give birth to an endless debates. This is none other han because so far the position of women is still experiencing ups and downs in interpreting it. The issue saying that women are created as inferior creatures while men are superior, also adorns in creating a gap between men and women in carrying out their duties in this world. If we return to the ethical principles of religion, it does not hint at all things related to discrimination against women. On the Contrary, religion has guaranteed womens rights, as well as the rights, are given to men, including the right to be leaders. Therefore, it is interesting what Fatima Mernissi said in answering the question regarding the women leaders. According to Mernissi, historical data has become concrete evidence of the existence of female leaders who are so successful in carrying out their responsibilities. This view is the first step in re-examining womens rights, including in terms of leadership.
