Patriarchy and Brutality revealed in Heaney’s Poems “Tolland Man and Punishment”
Abstract:
This research paper deals with an integrating principle which deals with lies ahead of all differentiation of oral, feminine, unconsciousness vs cultured, masculine and unconsciousness. “Tolland Man and Punishment” depicts the brutality and patriarchy present in society at the times of modern society. The poet depicts the problems of human experience “Punishment” implores patriarchal practices on females, causing those women who stepped out to be publically humiliated. “Tolland Man” also depicts man is the victim of Jutland. Brutality of human experience is shown in initial report which concludes that “Tolland Man” died by hanging rather than strangulation
