Re-Visiting “The Chronicles of Narnia” by C.S Lewis- A Critical Study
Abstract:
The influence of the Bible throughout the English Literature has been both thematic and stylistic. It has provided the English men of letters scriptural themes and also modulated their life style. In the beginning of the literature writers like Bunyan and Oscar wilde imitated the simple rhythmical styles from the Bible. Later Ruskin particularly was fond of packing his writing to brim with Biblical quotations. Similarly, many writers from classical age to modern used the Biblical quotations and phrases from the Bible. Thus, this paper will focus on the link between children’s literature and bible.
