Pis Relation of Survival Requires Sacrifice in Yann Martels Life of Pi
Abstract:
This paper is aimed to show survival requires the sacrifice of Piscine Molitor Patel Pi the protagonist in Life of pi novel by Yann Martel. Life of Pi illustrates this overarching topic and also portrays Pis war to conquer the daunting undertaking of survival in solitude. A hurricane, that washes away all guidelines of existence that he once lived is now long gone. Pi alone is scared, struggles to return to phrases with the truth. Neither faith nor his own family can help him anymore. Hence sets adrift on a lifeboat for 227 days, with a Bengal tiger to maintain his company and the steady risk of madness and demise shadowing his every action.
