Analysis of Religious Conflicts in Chinua Achebe’s Arrow of God
Abstract:
This research paper analyses the religious conflicts in Arrow of God which is a novel written by Chinua Achebe. It states the religious conflicts in Nigeria with the definition of religion based on Igbo religion and Christianity. This paper deals with the arrival of new religion in this novel under the bidirectional perspectives on its plot. It sketches Python as a religious symbol in this novel. This paper is aimed to prove the relationship between politics and religion. It attempts to substantiate the need of religious tolerance among people as well as the role of commonwealth literature in the study of a religion.
