Title of the paper : Women Consciousness as Reflected in Ruskin Bonds Stories

Abstract: Since immemorial times, according to Indian scripture Indian society had been patriarchal so there is great matter of concern that the perception about the behavior and gender difference between man and woman is biased because woman, even girl child was oppressed, exploited and underestimated under the dominance of man in the society. Since long years ago, women have been coping with the social evils like widowhood, dowry, child bride, childlessness, domestic violence, trafficking etc. Though Even today in the remote areas due to lack of awareness and knowledge, there still prevailed gender conflicts in society which have been making multifarious affect on women’s personal life, progress and their development yet considering the present scenario, it can be seen that by making regular struggle they have been succeeding in every zones whether it is medical, business, engineering, aerospace, Army etc. to attain equality to man socially, politically, educationally, psychologically. The present paper will analyze women consciousness in the selected stories of Ruskin Bond that article will helpful to aware to the unaware women in abolishing the fear and developing confidence etc.
