Title of the paper :
National Education Policy 2020: Prospects, Challenges and Solutions: A Way Forward
Abstract:
For epochs, the education we received was different from what exactly was necessary. The realization that curricula focused on preparing students through the past century has been the driving force behind the changes reflected in the National Education Policy NEP. Education in its broadest sense is any act or experience that has a formative effect on the mind, personality, or physical capacity of an individual, and technically speaking, education is the process through which society transmits knowledge, values and accumulated skills by a person from Generation to generation through institutions. Education enables an individual to achieve self-sufficiency, social interest, and a true citizen of a country. With this noble intention NEP is designed by the government of India and has been approved in the cabinet. The National Education Policy NEP 2020 has provided excellent opportunities for higher education to improve the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values of the student community. Recently, the National Education Policy NEP 2020 was announced by the Ministry of Human Resource Development soon to be called the Ministry of Education. The policy aims to transform the Indian education system to meet the needs of the 21st century. The aim of the research paper is to analyse the challenges in the structure as well as the implementation of the policy through an extensive literature review on previous surveys and revisions and also provides suitable measures and recommendations for the better implementation of the policy.
