Joyful Learning: An Approach to Develop Problem Solving Ability in Mathematics of High School Students
Abstract:
The main aim education is to develop cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects of learning. The academic achievement depends on students’ involvement in the learning with interest and joyfulness. Joyful Learning is an approach through which learners experience immense sparkle of enjoyment and enthusiasm in learning. Joyful learning provides active participation of students and creates interest to gain knowledge which eventually makes the learning process meaningful. Among various subjects, the one which needs the use of joyful learning is mainly Mathematics because students think Mathematics as a dreadful subject. The various strategies of Joyful learning help the students to overcome their fear in learning Mathematics. Learning through joyful experience makes the students to motivate themselves in learning Mathematics. It enhances their capacity for the ability of problem-solving. The main purpose of this article is to highlight the effectiveness of joyful learning on problem solving ability in Mathematics of high school students
