Activity Based Learning
Abstract:
Activity-Based Learning ABL is necessary to grasp the attention of students in the classroom. The student enjoys and joyfully learns the new knowledge and retains it for a long period of time. Just getting marks in exam doesnt matters. The learned concept remains in the mind for lifelong is the best way of learning. The students learn without any stress, force, and tension. There is a significant difference on the effect of ABL technique on students motivation and academic achievement. Education is the only tool that aims to equip and empower its learners with the right knowledge. This knowledge also works towards acquiring various competences and skills that are required for any citizen to capture good employment opportunities and have a positive impact on the society. Activity-based learning is the baseline for creative and critical thinking skills enhancement. It emphasizes on the importance of various activities and their relevance in everyday activity-based teaching methodologies. ABL is a cognitive-based learning technique that works on constructive learning. Constructive learning comprises prior knowledge along with personal experiences. This theory emphasizes that learning is a process that comprises the psychological environment of an individual along with their interactions with various other structures of the society. The teachers are required to be adaptive to the changing classroom and student needs such that the students enjoy the course and establish goals. This paper details with the various activities given to make the students learn with joy.
