Title of the paper :
Foreseeing Anthropocene Havoc: A Study of William Wordsworths Poems
Abstract:
Environment and its importance have been the subject of discussion in all fields of literature since ages. Environment consciousness has been lost by man. Man has established and justified constructs proposed by him to influence Nature. This paper analyses the impact of anthropogenic changes resulting from human activity on this planet bringing environment to the very brink of destruction. The paper attempts to reflect on the foresight of William Wordsworth of the anthropogenic havoc caused by the unspeakable horrors of excessive greed, pollution, and industrialization. This study considers the poet’s ecocritical views which points to the non-reciprocal relationship between Man and Nature which destroys the fabric of our environment.
