Water and Contemporary Problems
Abstract:
Today, more than a billion people around the world facing the problem due to water because they don’t have clean water for their needs. People need fresh water for their survival ,personal hygiene, agriculture, industry and commerce. The contamination of water remains a significant issue because of unsanitary social practices that pollute water. Almost 80% of diseases in developing countries are caused by poor water quality and other water related issues that causes major health problems such as cholera, malaria, diarrhea etc. Water scarcity is lack of sufficient water or not having access to safe water supplies. AS a result of increased human population and bad habits, water is being overused and contaminated. Water scarcity causes hunger, poverty, sanitation issues disease, conflicts and biodiversity loss. Climate change will likely to make worse water stress world wide, as rising temperature lead to more unpredictable weather and extreme weather events which includes flood and droughts.
