Role of Women Entrepreneurship in Sustainable Development of India
Abstract:
Indian women entrepreneurs are still struggling to find the right framework to sustain their business. Women only make up 20% of the MSME sector in India, according to a study released in 2021 by the World 6th Economic Forum. The Indian government has developed a number of entrepreneurial schemes and initiatives to help female entrepreneurs in developing their abilities, and operating their businesses. In India, 20.37% of MSME owners are women, making up 23.3% of the labour force. They are regarded as the foundation of the economy. Hence, India has the potential to boost the global GDP by expanding womens involvement in the labour force.. This study reveals some strategies for empowering rural women. The paper will also highlights the skills needed and factors which influence the intention to become an entrepreneur for sustainable development. The paper will highlight in the conclusion section how the untapped business potentials of women have been progressively developing with the advent of globalization. The key to becoming a successful entrepreneur is to sharpen the skills. Additionally, womens literacy rates play a very vital role in shaping the nations promising future. This paper will discuss the different government initiatives taken to boost the women to develop as an entrepreneur and highlight the different strategies which would help women in bringing sustainable development. The paper will conclude that as they grow as an entrepreneur, their contribution particularly from rural areas in terms of their growth in economic development will increase. There is no denying that women are contributing more and more to the advancement of societys economic development and sustainable development.
