Abstract: Literature reflects every persons life in pain and happiness, in betrayal and love and in death and glory. Complicated realities of life are taught in the simplest way and new insight is provided to human beings by literature. Literature builds a connection of emotions between a reader and a literary piece. Literatures beauty lies in its words and way of conveying the message by the writer. We travel in the historical moments, incidents and rich cultures only by reading the good literature. Different genres of literature like poetry, fictin, non fiction and drama vary with each other in structure and style but purpose of all genres is same. Poetry is one of the most beautiful genres of literature because it has the power to greatly influence the people through its figurative language.Meena Kandasamy is a feminist and activist and her poetic works revolve around gender, caste sexuality and oppression. She uses her words of poetry in a violent manner.Meena urges the readers and especially women to put forward their issues in a powerful voice. Her woman is facing many problems in this patriarchal world but still she stands strong in tough times. My present paper is an attempt to see the male dominated society through traumatic situations of strong women in Meena Kandsamys poetic work Ms Militancy.
