Freedom is a Constant Struggle: A Feministic light on the Autobiography of Angela Davis
Abstract:
Freedom and feminism is intertwined knot which is difficult to decipher and solve. Many literary authors and critics were emphasising on this point, yet they struggle for equality has not been attained by the neutralists and women. Feminist criticism at its earlier stage raise voice against simply on the domination of male in the household and at domestic stage. But at present context feminism is an international issue, women around the world facing various struggles and issues. On this view this paper is probing a very vital issue that no other normal woman of household would experience. Brutality against black people is never ending problem in the western countries especially in America. If the black person is a woman the treatment and discrimination is even crueller. Here, a black woman named Angela Davis talks all the struggles and issues she faced from her childhood in her realistic autobiography. Angela Davis served in communist party later she joined in Black Panther party. Her involvement in these activities caused her expulsion from university as a professor. An Autobiography, by Angela Davis is writing in a dramatic, narrative style, Ms. Davis unfurls her lifes story with an enticing, poetic prose that reaches out and wraps itself around the reader to hold herhim spellbound from first to last.
