Abstract: This paper Quest for Self-Discovery in Anita Nairs Ladies Coup focuses on womens sufferings in Indian societies at different circumstances. Whether they are economically dependent or independent, they fall as a prey to the commands of the men in their society. They attempt to look for their identity and they feel it is not so easy to be obtained. They fight for their right and often fail. The characters in Ladies Coupe happen to come together in train compartment, share their experience and realize their individuality and find a route to get their emancipation and at last their self-identity.
