Abstract: This paper entitled Social Hypocrisy in Vijay Tendulkars Play Silence The Court is in Session highlights the hypocritical nature of the people in Indian society. Hypocrisy is one of the social and emotional dominances found among the people. The paper throw lights on how hypocritical people harm others in mask of kind and caring people, how they seek pleasure by others tears in the mask of moral and honest people. They ill-treat others in the name of concern and they poke their nose into others personal life and judge them. They spread rumors about others and spoil their dignity. The hypocritical attitude of the people in the society induces mental agony to their victims and also it spreads negativity. It affects the peace of mind of the victims in the society. This paper reflects the hypocrisy in Indian society.
