Abstract:
Dalit literature has emerged as important area in India. The major focus of Dalit literature is on the community. Dalit writings are based on the sufferings of the oppressed class. The struggle due to oppression and suppression by the upper class people. In India gender stereotypes are spreading and women are sacrificing for the society. Nobody is spared-the young and old the educated and uneducated the high society and lower class all are made to feel the same. But the plight of Dalit Girl gets all the more compounded due to socio-cultural barriers. The poem reflects the plight of such a Dalit Girl.
