Cultural Aspects of English Language
Abstract:
A Particular language of any country or state starts its Journey, as a way of communication, proceeds, enriches itself in search of new destinations. Human beings as social, creatures adapt, share, exchange ideas, life style, food habits, emotions etc... This give and take process slowly enables a language to become a popular tongue and emerge as a universal language English language has travelled such a course. Like water it flows, absorbs minerals broadens its arena...and proves its flexibility, adaptability and richness. A good number of authors have dealt with significant modulation of English language .Culture and language connected with each other, where English language plays a vital role. Nobody would dispute the relationship between language and culture, Language unconsciously expresses cultural connotations reflects peoples thoughts, beliefs, view of life, world views etc. Culture is strongly linked to language Each nations specific culture can be reflected in a variety of ways, but there is nothing else that shows so much content the language of its culture. Language not only changes peoples values and habits, but also affects peoples identity and behaviors. While English language learning involves a numbers of different skills, including grammar, writing, listening and speaking, this paper aims to highlight the cultural aspects of English language. It also examines English language and its effects on cultural identity. English as a tool for cross-culture communication, can develop economically relationship among the humans socially as-well-as economically.
