Title of the paper :
Managing Cross Cultural Teams- A Literature Review
Abstract:
Due to globalization, teams in organization includes people from many ethnicities and cultural backgrounds. As a result, teams become more culturally diverse, making them cross-cultural in nature. When people from diverse cultural backgrounds collaborate on projects, they may contribute creativity, fresh perspectives, and innovative problem-solving techniques, but it can also lead to conflicts within teams, which will have an impact on the teams performance. Managing cross-cultural teams successfully requires mutual respect, effective and clear communication, knowledge of the various cultures present, the establishment of clear goals and boundaries, recognition of the unique skills of each team member, and a willingness to build relationships with them in order to build trust. Thus, it is crucial to recognize and handle cultural diversity in teams. This paper is based on theoretical framework, explains the factors which influence cross cultural teams and also explains the ways to manage it effectively. The analysis is based on the literature in cross-cultural management, conflict, leadership, and intercultural communication.
