Title of the paper : The Role of Social Media in Language Learning: Building Community and Overcoming Challenges

Abstract: Social media has become essential for language learners to improve their language proficiency. The sense of community and belonging provided by social media platforms encourage language learners to continue their language learning journey. Research in positive psychology and neurology has shown that belonging is critical in motivation, emotion, memory, and learning. Social media platforms allow language learners to interact with other language learners, share experiences, and receive support from the community. Moreover, language learning on social media platforms helps language learners overcome challenges such as differences in language proficiency, cultural fluency, and interruptions in their education. Social media platforms provide many resources, such as language learning groups, online courses, and language exchange programs. Therefore, social media plays a vital role in language learning by providing a sense of community, overcoming challenges and providing resources to language learners.
