Title of the paper :
A comparative study of Jeannette Armstrongs Whispering in Shadows and Amitav Ghoshs Gun Island under the lens of Green Postcolonialism
Abstract:
The paper presentation studies Amitav Ghoshs Gun Island and Jeannette Armstrongs Whispering in Shadows using the approach of green postcolonialism. The merger of postcolonialism and ecocriticism in the early 2000s has developed green postcolonialism, a comprehensive way to look at the problems that intersect econarratives, indigenous relationships and postcolonial studies. The paper explores and investigates global environmental issues and exploitation of indigenous tribes in the above mentioned primary texts by using the methodology of green postcolonialism. This research paper examines the way in which structures of oppression have manipulated the environment and indigenous communities for personal benefit and attempted a complete erasure of indigenous identity and culture.
