Title of the paper : Kelly as a Risk Bearer: Delving Deep into the Adventures of Careys Kelly

Abstract: Human life is full of uncertainties. One cannot predict what the future holds for him. Risks happen to be the negative implications of uncertainties. Facing such complicated and challenging conditions imply determination. Determined personalities serve as ideal representatives of motivation. Peter Carey is acclaimed for creating effervescent characters. Ned Kelly, a heroic outlaw is one such character. His letters that have the stories of his adventures serve as the major source for Careys award winning novel True History of the Kelly Gang. Careys works take in hand the themes related to nationhood, history, social values and illusory nature of certainty. His works are customarily set in Australia. He is commended for his ingenious mixture of the historical elements in his works. Careys novels deal with outlaws, convicts and other strong men. Careys portrayal of the legendary hero Ned Kelly deserves a special notice. This paper attempts to explore the endeavours of the protagonist Ned Kelly and his gang.
