Sangati by Bama: A Subaltern Study
Abstract:
This paper includes the complete study of the novel Sangati by Bama. In particular, the unfortunate situation of dalit women in Indian society is examined in this paper together with other aspects of dalit marginalization, discrimination, isolation, and humiliation from mainstream traditions of life. The sorrows of the downtrodden class are depicted in dalit literature. The foundation of Dalit literature and its literary movement is social injustice. It examines the marginalised and colonised. Post-colonial literature includes Dalit literature. Numerous literary genres are covered by dalit literature. It is literature about the complete community, but also about one individual. B.R. Ambedkar, M.K. Gandhi, Rettaimalai Srinivasan, and other political, social, and literary personalities contributed to the dalit literary movement.
