Language and Technology in the realm of ancient Indian texts
Abstract:
India is a land embedded with rich traditional knowledge. People of this country with their indigenous knowledge could comprehend the complexities of life and use to find the timely solutions best possible. They had an innovate approach to address the challenges in different forms of life. The contribution of our country through traditional knowledge system TKS is immense to the world. A country with at least 5000 years of history should have definitely existed and continued with great wisdom of understanding the life. There are many ancient technical texts in the Indian literature particularly in Sanskrit. The construction format of Ashthadhyayi – sutrapatha formulation, Vaisheshika sutra of Kanada, Tarka sangraha of Annambhatta, saraswati kanthabharanam – Bhoja, Samarangana sutradhara- Bhoja, can be observed as the source of technical structure. It appears as the flow chart and the structure can be viewed as the data analytics. In this era of technology innovations to create effective language learning environments are to be presented and a wide range of options are to be considered. However the value system through language learning and the technical aspects embedded in the ancient texts are to be explored for the larger benefit of the society.
