Title of the paper :
Different Shades of Feminism in ManjuKapurs Custody
Abstract:
Feminism is the most commonly used phrase in the area of literature today. Due to the impact of education, the standing of women in society is changing as the world evolves. Women are breaking free from the patriarchal systems limitations in India, It is characterised by a restricted society and a desire to forge a distinct identity from that of their male counterparts. ManjuKapur is regarded as a modern feminist in this regard, because the female characters in her works are constructed in such a way that they may symbolise various shades of feminism. Her novel Custody is an excellent example of her broad and profound understanding of womens psychology. She raises problems of globalisation, liberalisation, and a dramatically changing manner of society, as well as womens yearning for autonomy, infertility, and the hollowness of modern marriage, in this work. She looked into the impact of divorce on children of all ages, from children to adults.
