Abstract: In the realm of Malayalam cinema, Odiyan stands out as a captivating fantasy thriller that intricately weaves the tale of Manikyan, a renowned shape shifting assassin believed to possess supernatural abilities. The films narrative technique and storytelling prowess play a pivotal role in elevating the entire cinematic experience. Notably, the narrative unfolds in a non-linear fashion, skilfully intertwining Manikyans past and present, gradually unravelling the enigma surrounding the protagonist. This method not only adds depth and complexity to the plot but also keeps the audience engaged by revealing the layers of the main characters mysterious journey. The infusion of folklore and fantasy elements into the storytelling style contributes to a visually enthralling experience for spectators. Odiyan seamlessly incorporates atmospheric images and an engaging soundtrack, further enhancing its overall cinematic appeal. These elements work cohesively to draw audiences into the films unique narrative, creating a compelling and immersive experience. In a thought provoking connection to the concept of migration, Odiyan metaphorically mirrors the journey of Manikyan as he navigates through his past and present.
