Title of the paper :
Interrogation of Mind: Wisdom and the Wisemen: The Helping Hand
Abstract:
This research paper puts on its torch on the short story, The Three Questions of Leo Tolstoy. Questions come from our brain or mind. Sometimes those questions may not get right answers. In this short story, the King had three questions in his mind and he did not get right answers for them. The three questions were what was the right time for every action, who were the most necessary people and how he might know what was the most important thing to do. He had some answers in his mind but not satisfied with them. Learned men gave different answers but the king is not happy with none of their answers. At last he decided to meet a hermit a sage or Gods man. The king dressed himself as an ordinary man and went to meet the hermit. He did not reveal who he was. His mind tells him to go to a hermit to get answers. Mind is so powerful. He knows hermit is a God’s man. He knows only wisemen can give answers for such unclear or confusing questions. The hermit is a Wiseman of God. So, he knows how to answer Kings questions. Through his wisdom he made the King to act on different situations and revealed the answers to the king. The king was happy and went away. Wisemen through their actions speak to the people. This short story proves that the unclear questions of human mind could be solved by the Wiseman. We see only the hermit has solved the unclear questions of the King. When we ask questions only, we will get wisdom. The king got wisdom because of his three questions. The research is undertaken with the torch of Spiritualism.
