Title of the paper :
Language and Communications Function in the Education of English Language Learners with Severe Cognitive Impairments
Abstract:
Language and communication are two essential elements of schooling. It is impossible to learn without conversation. However, communication could appear differently for English language learners who have severe cognitive impairments. Although language may also appear differently in this group, more complex ideas and learning are made possible by languages structure and shared meaning. As a result, teachers need to be extremely knowledgeable about language and communication, as well as how pupils in this demographic use them. Educators must make a clear distinction between language and communication when attempting to determine how English language learners with major cognitive challenges acquire language and communicate.
