Title of the paper :
Layers of Invisibility: The Sound of Silence
Abstract:
The profound insights to literature has created chambers of voices in our minds from experiencing moments to becoming one with it. These set of voices, unfortunately is seen as a socio-culturally constituted phenomenon, resulting in the muffling of self. The paper aims to understand the language of the other, as society slowly awakens to the realization towards the lack of language to connect with people that practically remained silent unwillingly. The central proposal is organized around the impossibility of telling therefore, choosing silence over any other forms of language. The lived experiences faced by women show astounding marginalization on many levels. Literature takes on the role to represent the unrepresented, diving into narrations to comprehend the meaning of self, as well as giving space for the ones without voices, while rehabilitating the unconscious prejudices created in the past.
