Title of the paper :
An Essence of Eco- Critical Concern in the work of Amitav Ghoshs The Hungry Tide
Abstract:
An emerging critical approach known as eco-criticism has led to a literary and critical interest in environmental issues and green politics. There are a lot of writers in this century who show how important environmental issues are and how closely they relate to literature. Author Amitav Ghosh is one such writer. In an environment that spans the Himalayas in the north to the Indian Ocean in the south and the Sunderbans in the east to the arid Thar in the west, India is a prime example of the relationship between nature and society. Not only does the environment influence human culture, but it also has an impact on it. In order to determine how much an ecocritical perspective can shed light on this particular novel, the goal of this paper is to analyse Amitav Ghoshs The Hungry Tide.
