Abstract:
The man is a social animal, as he behaves in the way in which his society has set norms and traditions of behavior for him. His behavior is a part of his culture and traditions of the environment in which he lives. The study of various cultures is done to understand the basics of people living in such societies. Cultural studies mean study of various cultures, their patterns, behaviours, rituals and traditions. It helps to understand complexities of humans, living in different cultures of societies. It is very helpful to understand the particular behavioural patterns of everyday lives existing in a particular society. It suggests the ways in which habits and beliefs are patterned socially, emotionally and personally. It gives knowledge of various beliefs that are practiced behind books and objects in a particular society and become a part of human existence. The study is a relatively new in comparison of other cultural studies. It is based on beliefs of Raymond Williams and Richard Hoggart, who tried to carve out a new theory based on arte-facts rather than the facts of art before them. The present paper is on various aspects of the topic of feminism, which is deeply rooted in different cultures of various societies.
