Abstract: Whether you consider yourself to be an avid reader or not, literature has a profound impact on every aspect of our life. Literature has a huge influence on todays artistic endeavors, which include movies, TV shows, YouTube videos, and even online personalities. A wide range of written works created from a particular historical period to the present day are collectively referred to as contemporary literature. This literary era indicates a specific writing style and quality in addition to defining a historical period. While some regard this time as a continuation of postmodern literature, the majority refer to it as a distinct literary epoch. A collection of literary works plays, novels, novellas, serialized stories, and poetry written within a specific time period, or era, is known as a literary movement or epoch.This collection of literary works is arranged according to particular characteristics, such a sharedviewpoint, school of thought, aesthetics, philosophy, or cultural, political, and social influences. Literary writings and the authors or poets who create them have multiple viewpoints, ideologies, and ideas about the world around them, just as you do.This indicates that there is frequently a significant overlap between literary trends, meaning that two disparate or even incompatible literary movements or ideas coexist at the same time period. While you could definitely read a literary text without knowing which literary movement it belongs to, knowing about the literary movement and time period it belongs to will certainly enhance your understanding and perhaps even your enjoyment of it. History and literature go hand in hand. Learning about the context of a work of literature and the literary movement it belong to, will result in a better appreciation of it and an enhanced ability to analyze it.
