Name of Author :

Title of the paper :
Exploration of Cultural Identity and the Concept of Home in Randa Jarrars A Map of Home
Abstract:
The paper explores the concepts of home and cultural identity in Randa Jarrars novel. Randa Jarrar, a Palestinian American living in the diaspora, offers a distinct perspective on the concept of homeland and her personal interpretation of ancient Palestine in her novel, A Map of Home. The paper aims to conduct a thorough analysis of her fiction and emphasize the topics she addresses as a writer of Palestinian descent. The paper also examines Jarrars approach to the concept of home and presents an analysis of the relation between Palestinian diasporas and their homeland, Palestine. Randa is engaging in extensive exploration within a creative realm, while also incorporating a counter-narrative ideology in her work. This ideology serves as a means to challenge the prejudices perpetuated by Orientalist discourse around the female body in the Middle East.
