Title of the paper :
Arab Muslim Womens Anglophone Literature: Towards New Humanistic Role of Language
Abstract:
Arab Muslim womens Anglophone literature has emerged as a significant field of study, highlighting the experiences and perspectives of Arab Muslim women in English-speaking contexts. This literature review explores its potential for promoting a new humanistic role of language. Themes such as identity, gender, cultural hybridity, representation, and visibility are examined. By choosing to write in English, these authors challenge linguistic boundaries and provide a platform for their marginalized voices. The literature empowers women, challenges stereotypes, and fosters cross-cultural dialogue. It offers nuanced perspectives on the intersections of religion, culture, and gender, countering essentialist narratives. Arab Muslim womens Anglophone literature contributes to a more inclusive discourse, advocating for agency, and fostering empathy and understanding. Further research is needed to explore its transformative potential and impact on the broader literary landscape. This review emphasizes the importance of recognizing and amplifying the voices of Arab Muslim women in shaping a humanistic role for language.
